How to Enable GDPR Features on your Account

    Overview

The GDPR features on the Sugar Market, formerly known as Salesfusion, platform are controlled by security attributes. The three GDPR features available for our customers include:

    1. Double Opt-in for Forms
    2. Opt-in Verification for Manually Added Contacts
    3. Cookie Consent for Pages

You should be able to enable these security attributes in two ways: via the new GDPR Role or through the Navigation access.

We outline these two methods below.

Method 1 – Assign the new GDPR Role

One of the ways you can enable to GDPR features for your account is to assign the new GDPR Role we’ve created to users on the platform. This GDPR Role applies all three security attributes automatically to whichever user is given the role. Here is how you navigate to the role

Step 1 – Navigate to Account Configuration

Step 2 – Select Roles under the User Administration Section

Step 3 – Find the GDPR Role and click into it to edit

Step 4 – Select and assign Users to the Role

And that’s it, those users that are assigned the GDPR role should now have access to the three GDPR features we offer:

    1. Double Opt-in for Forms
    2. Opt-in Verification for Manually Added Contacts
    3. Cookie Consent for Pages

Method 2 – Add each Security attribute individually

This route gives you a little more flexibility as you can pick and choose which security attribute you want to give each user. There are three security attributes to be aware of:

    1. Marketing Admin – Cookie Consent – controls the cookie consent feature on pages
    2. Marketing Admin – Double Opt In – controls the double opt-in feature for forms
    3. Marketing Admin – Manual Upload Verification – controls the opt-in verification feature for manual contact creation

Steps to enable the GDPR security attributes are below.

Step 1 – Navigate to Account Configuration
