Troubleshooting the Campaign Sending Scheduler


    If campaign emails are stuck in the outbound email queue, you may need to enable the scheduler.

    Beginning with version 9.1.0, each user’s license type (e.g. Sugar Serve) determines what functionality is available as described in the User Management documentation. Please note that the Campaigns module is not available for Sugar Serve users.


    You must be an administrator to manage the system schedulers.


    Sugar’s “Run Nightly Mass Email Campaigns” scheduler processes queued campaign emails at specified intervals. Check to make sure that the Run Nightly Mass Email Campaigns scheduler is active and configured properly. For more information on configuring schedulers, please refer to the Setting Up the Scheduler article.

    1. Navigate to Admin > Scheduler > Run Nightly Mass Email Campaigns.
    2. Verify that the status is set to “Active” and the interval is frequent enough and set as expected. 
    3. If necessary, click “Edit” and uncheck the “Advanced Options” to modify the interval.

    Note: For on-site instances, you will also need to ensure that cron is running properly. When navigating to Admin > Schedulers, there is a panel titled “To Setup Crontab” with instructions on what to include in your Crontab file to ensure that the Scheduler runs successfully.
